“I’ve been dreaming about becoming a wedding cinematographer since I was a young kid.”

You’ve probably seen this on many About pages, but that’s not how my story goes.

I kind of stumbled into wedding videography, actually. As a kid, I wanted more than anything to grow up and make movies. I had no dreams of pursuing this as a profession until I had the opportunity to film a few weddings for family friends; thinking it would be good practice, I agreed. After seeing the raw emotional responses generated from those videos, I was HOOKED! Soon after, I turned my newly discovered passion into a career.

 When my wife and I got married we didn’t hire a professional videographer to film our celebration, and it’s one of my deepest regrets about that day. There’s only so much our human brains can recall about the events we’ve experienced, and as the years go by I find those memories fading as we make new ones.

We’ve been fortunate enough to grow from a one-man operation to the incredible team we have today. The photographers and videographers at Dalton Young Weddings all share the same passion and enthusiasm as I do and understand the huge responsibility that goes into capturing one of the most important days in people’s lives.
